I've been chided about not blogging.  Dang! Has it really been that long since I blogged.  2005 seems like ages ago.  Wow, so much has happened since then.

My oldest, Rebecca, is 9 years old and in the third grade.  My boy, Bobby, is 6 years old and in the first grade.  And my youngest, Rachel, is 4 (5 in November) and in Pre-Kindergarten.  We are adjusting to the new school schedule and the kids are enjoying their classes--for now anyways. My husband, Brother Vinny, is in his third year of work and just received a $2/hour raise.  I'm proud of him.

As far as my bipolar goes, I hit a rough patch a year ago.  I'm just now starting to level out again.  And good thing too: I'm on a boat-load of medication.  I was on AmbienCR.  Boy, oh boy!  Yeah, it puts you to sleep.  But it makes you forget anything you do during the night or in the morning.  Also the first night I went without it, I couldn't sleep.  So I'm not doing that again.

That's all I can think of.  Want to know something about me?  Leave a comment and I'll do my best to oblige.

Not much has changed over the past month or so.

I'm still doing well mood-wise.  It would appear that the medicine is working.  Just wish the meds didn't make me so edgy.  It is so hard to really relax these days.

My son will be turning 4 on the 22nd.  When I stop to ponder it, I see that Bobby's grown quite a bit in the past year.  His dad took him to see "Batman Begins" and Bobby was able to sit through the whole thing.  Not only that, but he enjoyed the movie.

I went over to Ruth's house again today for Bible study.  A friend of Ruth, Charlotte, watched the kids for me.  It is a very rewarding study on the purposes God has for us.  One thing that I learned today is that God gives us both the will and the ability to do His will.

I had another visit with my case manager.  We talked about my bipolar disorder.  As we were talking, she suggested that it may be hormones causing the bipolar.  Not sure if she is on to something here or not, but I'm going to go in for a checkup soon.  They're going to check my hormone level.

Remember what I said about the meds working? Well forget it.  Cause it's not.  I'm well into mania now.  Although it did take longer for me to cycle this time.  I suppose I should find that encouraging... Not sure that I do.

Brother Vinny and I had lunch together today.  We ate at this Italian restaurant downtown.  It was really good especially the "sun-dried tomato and basil soup." "Marvelous" is a good word for it. =-)

While the medicine seems to be working, it seems to be causing some side effects, namely acne and blurry vision.  I guess it's worth the cost, but they sure are annoying.  I noticed the fuzziness while driving tonight.

Well, I didn't make it to church this morning.  My stomach was upset. Plus by late afternoon I had a headache to go with it.  I hate being sick.  And there's no one to coddle me like when I was a child.  So what good is it?  Best to stay as healthy as one can.

I've been having a lot of difficulty getting in the mood to read.  At times I even want to read and can't keep focused.  As mentioned below, I'm currently reading the second Hitchhiker's Guide book in the trilogy.  But I'm having difficulty making any progress.  Last night I read a total of 2 pages.  Of course with young children, my time for reading is limited to after they've gone to bed.  And by then I'm often quite tired.

I watched part of the Hitchhiker's Guide (TV show on DVD) this morning.  I realized that I hadn't seen it all before.  I think I've seen episodes 1-3, but hadn't seen 4-6.  And I know I'll want to see them again.  Toddlers have a way of muting parts of any show or conversation, just by talking at a normal toddler level: loud. So I know I probably missed half of what I watched today.

Well I'm off to bed to attempt to read.
